넷제로아카데미는 영국의 세계적인 탄소 교육 비영리 기관인 The Carbon Literacy Trust 재단(이하 CLTrust)과 ‘Carbon LiteracyTM’ 교육 협력을 위한 양해각서를 체결했다고 밝혔습니다.
넷제로아카데미는 에너지, 투자 등 전문가로 구성된 교육 서비스 기업입니다. ‘Carbon LiteracyTM’ 교육은 한국 내 기업, 정부 기관, 활동 단체 등 구성원들의 탄소 문제에 대한 국제 표준 탄소 이해 능력을 제고하기 위해 마련됐습니다.
이번 협약에 따라 CLTrust는 한국 산업‧조직만의 특수한 요구 상황과 문화적 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 탄소 교육 자료를 개발할 때 넷제로아카데미에 자문을 제공할 예정입니다. 앞으로 넷제로아카데미는 한국 내 다양한 부문에 걸쳐 포괄적인 Carbon Literacy 교육을 제공할 계획입니다.
박희원 넷제로아카데미의 대표는 “한국은 경제 수준에 비해 탄소 이해력이 상당히 뒤떨어진 상황이라 탄소 문제가 기후 위기 문제를 넘어 국제 탄소 규제 통상 이슈인 현 상황에서 모두가 거의 손을 놓고 있다”며 “이번 Carbon Literacy 교육 협력이 한국인들의 탄소 문제에 대한 경각심을 높이고 구체적인 기후 행동 실천에 나서 탄소를 둘러싼 각종 위기를 지혜롭게 넘는 데 큰 도움이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔습니다.

Net Zero Academy has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Carbon Literacy Trust (CLTrust), a world-renowned UK-based nonprofit organization specializing in carbon education, to collaborate on delivering Carbon Literacy™ training programs.
Net Zero Academy is an education service company composed of experts in energy, investment, and sustainability. The Carbon Literacy™ program aims to enhance international-standard carbon literacy among members of Korean companies, government institutions, and civic organizations.
Under the agreement, CLTrust will provide advisory support to help develop customized carbon education materials tailored to the specific needs and cultural characteristics of Korean industries and organizations. Going forward, Net Zero Academy plans to offer comprehensive Carbon Literacy education across various sectors in Korea.
Dr. Hee-won Park, CEO of Net Zero Academy, stated:
